Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Jakob Weidemann was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 26,000.00 (€ 2,240.29). Other works by Jakob Weidemann have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2019 by the work without title at SEK 42,000.00 (€ 3,979.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jakob Weidemann im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 26.000,00 (€ 2.240,29) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Jakob Weidemann wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2019 die Arbeit ohne Titel mit SEK 42.000,00 (€ 3.979,31).
