Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work The St. Gotthard Pass by Jakob Philipp Hackert. The price achieved of GBP 431,250.00 (€ 473,483.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 350,000.00 – 550,000.00. Other works by Jakob Philipp Hackert have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2015 the work The Port of Salerno from Vietri, with herdsmen and other figures in the foreground, with the Castello di Arechi beyond and shipping vessels in the bay was auctioned for GBP 338,500.00 (€ 479,879.31).

Im Juli 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The St. Gotthard Pass von Jakob Philipp Hackert zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 431.250,00 (€ 473.483,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Jakob Philipp Hackert konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2015 die Arbeit The Port of Salerno from Vietri, with herdsmen and other figures in the foreground, with the Castello di Arechi beyond and shipping vessels in the bay für GBP 338.500,00 (€ 479.879,31) versteigert.
