This artwork by Jakob Nieweg achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007. In the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work Hortensia sold for EUR 7,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jakob Nieweg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portret Charley Toorop, which sold at auction in December 2006 for EUR 28,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jakob Nieweg erzielte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit Hortensia für EUR 7.200,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jakob Nieweg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portret Charley Toorop beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für EUR 28.800,00 versteigert wurde.
