Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Tulips in a vase with a caterpillar and a grasshopper on a stone ledge, and dragonflies and a bee by Jacob Marrel was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2002. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 50,190.00 (€ 77,044.16). Admittedly, works by Jacob Marrel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blumenstilleben in einer Terracotta-Vase auf einem Sockel. 1640. in September 2010 with an auction result of CHF 491,500.00 (€ 368,417.21).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Tulips in a vase with a caterpillar and a grasshopper on a stone ledge, and dragonflies and a bee von Jacob Marrel kam im Dezember 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 50.190,00 (€ 77.044,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Marrel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blumenstilleben in einer Terracotta-Vase auf einem Sockel. 1640. im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 491.500,00 (€ 368.417,21).
