Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Blown by Jaime Pacena II was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,258.89). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jaime Pacena II - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Other Lover, which sold at auction in October 2011 for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,080.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Blown von Jaime Pacena II im April 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.258,89) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jaime Pacena II mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Other Lover beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.080,59) versteigert wurde.
