Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poppies in a vase by Henri Jacques Delpy was sold in the Impressionist and 19th Century Art auction at Christies in London in June 2000. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,793.78) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Jacques Delpy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A summer afternoon by the riverside, which sold at auction in April 2000 for GBP 5,287.50 (€ 9,051.99).
