In June 2002 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Ottomans and Orientalist, which included the work La ferme au bord de la rivière; and La rivière au crépuscule by Henri Jacques Delpy. The price achieved of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,452.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00.
