In January 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale, which included the work The Death Of Pallas by Jacques Sablet. The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,057.62), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Sablet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Tarantelle: An evening coastal landscape with Neapolitan peasants dancing the Tarantella in April 2005 with an auction result of GBP 456,000.00 (€ 674,946.36).

Im Januar 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Death Of Pallas von Jacques Sablet zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 37.057,62) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Sablet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Tarantelle: An evening coastal landscape with Neapolitan peasants dancing the Tarantella im April 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 456.000,00 (€ 674.946,36).
