The work The town square of Braunschweig by Jacques Carabain was sold in the British and European Art auction at Christies in London in December 2021. The result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 47,711.61) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques Carabain have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Constantinople in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 144,000.00 (€ 213,688.76).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit The town square of Braunschweig von Jacques Carabain wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 47.711,61) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques Carabain auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Constantinople im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 144.000,00 (€ 213.688,76).
