A top price for Jacques Carabain - as previously expected
The work Constantinople by Jacques Carabain was sold in the 19th Century European Art, including Spanish and Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 144,000.00 (€ 213,688.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Constantinople is the most expensive artwork by Jacques Carabain that we have observed at auctions so far.
