Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jean Cocteau by Jacques-Émile Blanche was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2020. The price achieved of EUR 137,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques-Émile Blanche achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vaslav Nijinsky In 'Danse Siamoise' in October last year with an auction result of USD 2,700,000.00 (€ 2,717,938.39).
