However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques de Lajoue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The interior of a baroque palace with elegant company conversing by fountains, which sold at auction in December 2001 for GBP 91,750.00 (€ 149,906.78).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 47.000,00 (€ 50.385,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%.
