Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marcus Curtius Leaping On Horseback Into The Abyss (Recto); Further Studies Of The Same (Verso) by Jacques de Gheyn II. was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 43,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques de Gheyn II. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A large beech, partly in leaf in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 1,142,500.00 (€ 1,441,051.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Marcus Curtius Leaping On Horseback Into The Abyss (Recto); Further Studies Of The Same (Verso) von Jacques de Gheyn II. kam im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion.
