Here, the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 158,500.00 (€ 215,235.38). Admittedly, works by Jacques de Gheyn II. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A large beech, partly in leaf in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 1,142,500.00 (€ 1,441,051.72).
