Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work A Vanitas Still Life Of A Violin, Books, An Inkwell, Manuscripts, A Roemer, A Flute, A Crucifix And A Wreath Of Flowers On A Cloth Covered Table by Jacques de Claeuw. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,535.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Jacques de Claeuw have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2014 the work Still-Life Of Oysters, Grapes, Wine And Other Fruits was auctioned for GBP 55,000.00 (€ 69,372.29).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 55.535,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden.
