Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni, which included the work Cavalry Advancing by Jacques Courtois. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,256.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Courtois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Putti And Children Surrounded By Fruit, Formal Gardens Beyond in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 70,000.00 (€ 81,841.36).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.256,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden.
