Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Battlefield Before A Town, Mountains In The Background by Jacques Courtois was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,183.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Courtois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Putti And Children Surrounded By Fruit, Formal Gardens Beyond in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 70,000.00 (€ 81,841.36).

Die Arbeit A Battlefield Before A Town, Mountains In The Background von Jacques Courtois kam im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.183,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Courtois erzielen.
