The work The Bath Of Venus, Circa 1760 by Jacques Charlier was sold in the Old Masters including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction at Sothebys in London in May 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,775.27), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacques Charlier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trois femmes au bord d'un ruisseau tenant une urne in March 2004 with an auction result of EUR 12,925.00.

Die Arbeit The Bath Of Venus, Circa 1760 von Jacques Charlier wurde im Mai 2020 in der Auktion Old Masters including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.775,27) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques Charlier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Trois femmes au bord d'un ruisseau tenant une urne im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.925,00.
