Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Violet-necked Lory (Plate no. 51, Le Lori Ecaille, Eos squamata. Sheet size 19¾ x 12 inches 502 x 310mm.) by Jacques Barraband was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2001. The price achieved of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,855.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Barraband achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Troisième variété du perroquet cendré - The Grey Parrot - Psittacus erithacus. in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 91,750.00 (€ 145,435.04).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Violet-necked Lory (Plate no. 51, Le Lori Ecaille, Eos squamata.
