In the Natural History auction, the work Barbu à plastron noire -- Black-collared Barbet -- Lybius torquatus. sold for GBP 17,625.00 (€ 28,807.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques Barraband have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Troisième variété du perroquet cendré - The Grey Parrot - Psittacus erithacus. in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 91,750.00 (€ 145,435.04).
