The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,673.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jacques Androuet du Cerceau I have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2006 the work A Façade of Five Bays In The Corinthian Order, The Central Bay With A Doorway Surmounted By The French Royal Arms, The Surmounting Balustrade With A Central Arch With A Relief of A Mounted Falconer And Two Female Figures Supporting A Fleur-De-Lys was auctioned for GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,213.10).
