The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,348.62), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo Palma achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus wird von Amor gekrönt während Satyrn und eine Nymphe ihr Früchte reichen. in March 2007 with an auction result of CHF 453,500.00 (€ 279,614.25).
