Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work The Marriage Of The Virgin by Jacopo Cestaro for USD 13,860.00 (€ 11,900.06). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jacopo Cestaro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Annunciation in January 2002 with an auction result of USD 58,750.00 (€ 68,361.65).
