Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cleopatra by Jacopo Cestaro was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in November 2008. It changed hands for a price of EUR 29,550.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacopo Cestaro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Annunciation, which sold at auction in January 2002 for USD 58,750.00 (€ 68,361.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cleopatra von Jacopo Cestaro kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in Mailand zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 29.550,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacopo Cestaro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Annunciation beobachtet, die im Januar 2002 für USD 58.750,00 (€ 68.361,65) versteigert wurde.
