Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 24,919.12). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo Amigoni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bacchus And Ariadne; Venus And Adonis in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,098,500.00 (€ 1,604,480.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Seated Gentleman, Three Quarter Length, Wearing A Green Jacket, A Landscape Beyond von Jacopo Amigoni wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 24.919,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacopo Amigoni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bacchus And Ariadne; Venus And Adonis im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.098.500,00 (€ 1.604.480,46).
