Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work A still life with cans of paint by Jacoba Surie for EUR 298.75. This price was achieved in the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacoba Surie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grapes, pears, pumpkins, peaches on a draped kitchen table in February 2004 with an auction result of EUR 3,585.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A still life with cans of paint von Jacoba Surie für EUR 298,75 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacoba Surie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grapes, pears, pumpkins, peaches on a draped kitchen table im Februar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.585,00.
