Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A mountainous landscape with a waterfall and a castle by Jacob van Ruisdael was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 299,250.00 (€ 353,678.48) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob van Ruisdael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded landscape with a man and two dogs on a path, a cottage beyond in July last year with an auction result of GBP 3,382,500.00 (€ 4,039,305.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A mountainous landscape with a waterfall and a castle von Jacob van Ruisdael kam im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
