This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of the Late John Appleby: A Channel Island Treasure House at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob van der Ulft - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of Tivoli from the north, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 50,000.00 (€ 63,065.72).
