Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A rider and other figures traversing a landscape by Jacob van der Ulft was sold in the Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,815.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob van der Ulft achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Tivoli from the north in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 63,065.72).

Die Arbeit A rider and other figures traversing a landscape von Jacob van der Ulft wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.815,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob van der Ulft erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Tivoli from the north im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 63.065,72).
