In February 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A Landscape With A Cockrel And A Hen; A Landscape With A Hen And Her Chicks by Jakob Samuel Beck. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,500.00 (€ 16,349.51), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jakob Samuel Beck; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Roosters And Cats sold at auction in January 2011 with the realized price of USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,785.27).

Im Februar 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Landscape With A Cockrel And A Hen; A Landscape With A Hen And Her Chicks von Jakob Samuel Beck zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 16.349,51) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jakob Samuel Beck; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Roosters And Cats im Januar 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.785,27).
