Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A hen and her chicks in a landscape; and Ornamental pigeons with their fledglings (2) by Jakob Samuel Beck. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,925.00 (€ 10,645.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jakob Samuel Beck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roosters And Cats, which sold at auction in January 2011 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,785.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A hen and her chicks in a landscape; and Ornamental pigeons with their fledglings (2) von Jakob Samuel Beck zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.925,00 (€ 10.645,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jakob Samuel Beck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roosters And Cats beobachtet, die im Januar 2011 für USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.785,27) versteigert wurde.
