Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A River Landscape With Cattle by Jacob Salomonsz. van Ruysdael. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 19,700.00 (€ 26,768.96). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Salomonsz. van Ruysdael - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Landscape With Cavaliers In The Foreground, A Church Beyond, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 66,500.00 (€ 90,362.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A River Landscape With Cattle von Jacob Salomonsz. van Ruysdael zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 19.700,00 (€ 26.768,96) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Salomonsz. van Ruysdael mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Landscape With Cavaliers In The Foreground, A Church Beyond beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 66.500,00 (€ 90.362,22) versteigert wurde.
