Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A hilly landscape with a waterfall and a goatherd by Jacob Pynas was auctioned at Christies in October 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,820.64). Admittedly, works by Jacob Pynas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moses And Aaron in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 57,034.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A hilly landscape with a waterfall and a goatherd von Jacob Pynas im Oktober 2021 bei Christies versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.820,64) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Pynas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moses And Aaron im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 57.034,22).
