Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Artcurial held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Scène mythologique by Jacob de Wit. The price achieved of EUR 2,624.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob de Wit achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An allegory of painting and sculpture; and An allegory of music and dance - en grisaille in July this year with an auction result of GBP 97,020.00 (€ 113,192.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scène mythologique von Jacob de Wit zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.624,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob de Wit erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An allegory of painting and sculpture; and An allegory of music and dance - en grisaille im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 97.020,00 (€ 113.192,93).
