Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Five Putti Playing With Nautical Objects by Jacob de Wit was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 7,088.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob de Wit achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An allegory of painting and sculpture; and An allegory of music and dance - en grisaille in July this year with an auction result of GBP 97,020.00 (€ 113,192.93).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 7.088,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
