The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,676.65), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob de Wit achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An allegory of painting and sculpture; and An allegory of music and dance - en grisaille in July this year with an auction result of GBP 97,020.00 (€ 113,192.93).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.676,65) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob de Wit erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An allegory of painting and sculpture; and An allegory of music and dance - en grisaille im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 97.020,00 (€ 113.192,93).
