Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A Harbour Scene With Fishermen Returning To Shore, Some Travellers Setting Up Camp And Two Riders On A Pass, Mountains Beyond by Jacob de Heusch. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,214.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacob de Heusch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rome, A View Of The Campo Vaccino in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 132,914.36).
