Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reflections by Jacob Bornfriend was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Christies in London in March 2017. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,464.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Bornfriend achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 29,379.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reflections von Jacob Bornfriend wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.464,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Bornfriend erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 29.379,25).
