This artwork by Jacob Bornfriend achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2010. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Building sold for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,005.97) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Jacob Bornfriend have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 29,379.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacob Bornfriend erzielte im Juli 2010 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Building für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.005,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Bornfriend auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 29.379,25).
