Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Willows and Cottonwoods by Jack Wilkinson Smith was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 5,355.00 (€ 4,744.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Wilkinson Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In The Canyon in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 287,500.00 (€ 216,833.85).
