Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mystic Shore by Jack Wilkinson Smith was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in November this year. The price achieved of USD 11,520.00 (€ 10,561.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Wilkinson Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In The Canyon in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 287,500.00 (€ 216,833.85).
