The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,287.50 (€ 8,028.19), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Wilkinson Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In The Canyon in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 287,500.00 (€ 216,833.85).
