Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composition by Jack Justice was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 312.00. Admittedly, works by Jack Justice have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in January 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,560.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composition von Jack Justice im März 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 312,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Justice auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.560,00.
