Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Children of the Night by Jack Bilbo was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,592.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jack Bilbo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Medium, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,564.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Children of the Night von Jack Bilbo kam im Oktober 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.592,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jack Bilbo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Medium beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.564,08) versteigert wurde.
