This artwork by Jaap Hillenius achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Composition sold for EUR 1,553.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 800.00. Admittedly, works by Jaap Hillenius have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vroeg Voorjaar, S'Ochtends in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 6,850.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jaap Hillenius erzielte im Februar 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wurde die Arbeit Composition für EUR 1.553,50 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jaap Hillenius auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vroeg Voorjaar, S'Ochtends im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.850,00.
