This artwork by Jaap Gidding achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2006. In the 20th Century Decorative Arts auction, the work De Mensch Is Niet Alleen Op Aarde sold for EUR 2,400.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jaap Gidding - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Underwater, which sold at auction in November 2006 for EUR 5,040.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jaap Gidding erzielte im November 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Decorative Arts wurde die Arbeit De Mensch Is Niet Alleen Op Aarde für EUR 2.400,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jaap Gidding mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Underwater beobachtet, die im November 2006 für EUR 5.040,00 versteigert wurde.
