Estimate exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by J. Williams achieved an unexpectedly high price at VAN HAM in January 2016. In the Dekorative Kunst auction, the work Stürmische Seelandschaft mit Blitz sold for EUR 284.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 100.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by J. Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A terrier in a wheat field in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,105.22).
Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von J. Williams erzielte im Januar 2016 bei VAN HAM einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dekorative Kunst wurde die Arbeit Stürmische Seelandschaft mit Blitz für EUR 284,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von EUR 100,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von J. Williams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A terrier in a wheat field im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.465,00 (€ 7.105,22).
