Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by J. Watson could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the SPORTING ART AND DOGS auction, the work A saddled grey in a stable changed hands for GBP 411.25 (€ 590.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by J. Watson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A hound in a kennel, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 881.25 (€ 1,402.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von J. Watson konnte im November 2003 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion SPORTING ART AND DOGS wechselte die Arbeit A saddled grey in a stable für GBP 411,25 (€ 590,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von J. Watson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A hound in a kennel beobachtet, die im November 2001 für GBP 881,25 (€ 1.402,35) versteigert wurde.
