In February 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work A figure on a track by a riverside cottage by J. Wallace. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 881.25 (€ 1,438.11), 47% above the upper estimate. Other works by J. Wallace have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,643.12) in November 2010 for the work Waiting for mistress.

Im Februar 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A figure on a track by a riverside cottage von J. Wallace zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.438,11) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von J. Wallace haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.643,12) im November 2010 für die Arbeit Waiting for mistress beobachtet.
