Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by J.B. Murray was auctioned at Christies in January this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,268.00 (€ 2,088.78). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by J.B. Murray - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Green), circa 1986, which sold at auction in February last year for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,352.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von J.B. Murray kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Christies zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.268,00 (€ 2.088,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von J.B. Murray mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Green), circa 1986 beobachtet, die im Februar letzten Jahres für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.352,64) versteigert wurde.
